Emmanuel Ivars

I develop my professional activity as an oenologist and technical advisor in different Denominations of Origin in Spain.

I am descended from Spaniards who emigrated to Algeria during the 19th and 20th centuries. During the independence of 1962, my family left to France to settle in the Loire Valley, where I was born. I am the son of French “ pieds noirs” , who were winemakers and vine growers in French Algeria.

1992 is the year of the beginning of my professional career, having studies of Viticulture and Oenology in the Loire Valley and in Burgundy .

I settled in Spain , in the Ribera del Duero , during the 1992 harvest . After working as a winemaker in different wineries in the region, in 2000 I became a freelance, providing my services as a technical advisor in different wineries in Castilla y León .

From the  terroir  and the meticulous work of the vineyard, I seek to highlight the typicality and the great aging capacity of the tempranillo, in order to obtain great red wines. My objective is to take advantage of the potential of tempranillo so that my wines have structure, elegance, depth and a long in mouth.
